Admitted Mechanical & Aerospace Undergraduates

Only èßäÊÓƵapps who have been accepted to Upper-Level degree progression (ULDP) should meet with our Academic Advisors with any questions. If you are not a ULDP èßäÊÓƵapp, please consult with Engineering Student Services for further advising needs.

MAE Advisor role

  • Advise current MAE èßäÊÓƵapps
  • Assist èßäÊÓƵapps with course selection and planning
  • Review èßäÊÓƵapp graduation application

The Course Flowcharts show all courses required for the BSME & BSAE degrees. Solid lines indicate course prerequisite and dashed lines indicate course co-requisite. The BSME degree requires èßäÊÓƵapps to take three technical elective courses. The BSAE degree requires èßäÊÓƵapps to take two technical elective courses. Students should regularly plan and monitor their academic progress through DegreeWorks, the official USF degree audit system.

  • If an error message appears during registration for an EML course, you must submit a to our department for approval.
  • Instructor signature is also required for a closed course or pre/co-requisite error messages. The instructor signature should be included on the same Permit Request Form.

  • If your registration in Student Self-Service is halted due to a hold you must have the hold removed before proceeding with the registration process. Some examples of holds are parking citations, immunization or medical insurance forms, and library fines. MAE staff are not able to lift these holds that were not placed by the department. Please contact the appropriate department that placed the hold on your account.
