Religion Associated with HPV Vaccination Rate for College Women

It’s been more than a decade since a vaccine was introduced to prevent contraction of human papillomavirus (HPV), the most common sexually transmitted disease in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends patients start receiving the vaccine between ages 11 and 12, with catch-up vaccination recommended for certain groups through age 26. However, a new study conducted at the èßäÊÓÆµapp found many female college èßäÊÓÆµapps have not been inoculated and religion may be a contributing factor.

Latino Scholarship Program Provides Financial Aid to Nearly 150 USF Students

The dream of pursuing a college education will continue for 140 èßäÊÓÆµapp èßäÊÓÆµapps, who will be awarded financial assistance this week through the USF Latino Scholarship Program. The group of èßäÊÓÆµapps will receive more than $278,000 in scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year, made possible through generous gifts to the USF Foundation.

USF Health and USF Athletics partnered on an implementation of an independent medical model that supports the physical and psychosocial welfare of èßäÊÓÆµapp-athletes. Under the new model, physicians will have increased contact with athletic trainers and èßäÊÓÆµapp-athletes within the Selmon Athletic Center Athletic Training Clinic, where they care for more than 450 èßäÊÓÆµapp-athletes.
