Kathryn McCormic named associate director of field education in School of Social Work

Kathryn "Kate" McCormic

Kathryn McCormic has experience working in a variety of settings, including child welfare, hospice, community mental health, and the public school system as a clinician and administrator.

Kathryn "Kate" McCormic, DSW, LCSW, assistant professor of instruction, has been named associate director of field education in the School of Social Work.

McCormic is a licensed clinical social worker and qualified supervisor with a strong background in clinical social work, field education, supervision and administration, and practice-based instruction. In this new role, she will work closely with Akanke Omarayo-Adenrele, MSW, assistant instructor and director of field education, to lead the field team in delivering a first-class field education experience for èßäÊÓÆµapps.

"I am confident that her contributions as associate director of field education will further strengthen our field program," said Chris Simmons, PhD, LCSW, director of the School of Social Work.
